I know that parenting a neurodivergent child can quickly become a full time job and your stress level can escalate fast. On top of the actual parenting pieces there are countless school meetings and specialist appointments, in addition to the never-ending phone calls, emails and forms. Navigating this I have found ways to make the process less chaotic and allow you to feel more confident everyday.
For 10 years, following my son’s ASD, SPD, and ADHD diagnosis’ I lived in a constant state of fear, anxiety and self doubt. I wondered whether I was doing “enough” or the “right” things and even questioned my own confidence in my parenting. Social media didn’t help as I started to compare and feel alone in my parenting journey. I followed a simple self growth plan that started with bringing myself back to the basics. Through acceptance and leaning into my own confidence I found such incredible relief and simulatenously so much gratitude.
Through coaching you will gain the skills and knowledge necessary to become a consistent and confident parent. You will slowly trade stress and overwelm for confident parenting.
Each child is different and their behaviors and personalities often present challenges, but there are universal skills based on pycholigical and scientific principles that can be used to make your journey as a parent go beyond extra-ordinary. While there is no manual or guidebook to parenting and it is one of the hardest jobs you will ever have, not to mention the most important! Let’s work together to make you feel empowered, calm, and confident in every stage of parenting.

What is Confident Parent Coaching
Confident Parent coaching is a way of getting support from someone who has walked in your shoes. Topics can range from:
- Practical help: Finding specialists in your area for you or your children as well as coaching tools to help you move through your day with peace
- Parent training: behavioral issues, therapeutic techniques and communication allowing you to parent with grace and build connection
- Brainstorming: collaborating on difficult problems for your child or family
- Visual supports: making visual supports for you or teaching you how to create them yourself
- School guidance: tips for navigating the school system with a neurodivergent child
- Homeschool consulting: ideas for curricula, teaching methods and accommodations that best suit your learner
- Emotional support: talking about the difficult days with someone who has been there
- Long-term planning: developing a roadmap for your family
- Confidence in your own parenting style and tips to help manage stress and stressful situations more effectively and with grace
- Believing and understanding your child was created for a reason and purpose and you are their parent for a reason and a purpose
