Way of Thinking

One of my favorite quotes is: “Be Yourself, Everyone Else Is Already Taken” -Oscar Wilde

God made us all different and that is what makes life interesting. I have always appreciated people for who they are and what they as individuals bring into my life. It is just something I am good at!

Since becoming a mom I have really focused on how to raise my boys to become good men. I am reminded every day how different each one of them is. I know God gave me them as a reminder to respect people.

I have one boy with severe ADHD and sensory issues but he has a brilliant mind. He is loving, cuddly, creative, and genuinely funny. My heart beats outside my heart for how much I love this one. His nickname is, “Lido Crumbles!”

I have another boy who is friendly, bossy, flirtatious, athletic, demanding and very sensitive. His heart is beautiful and he has stolen my heart. We call him the “Beets” or “Mayor.”

The third boy is a perfect combo of both brothers for now. His smile, his laugh, and his contemplative looks show us that he will be someone who is level headed and successful. He will be the voice of reason when things get tough. He wants to be part of the action but he is very careful about what he chooses to partake in. Gotta love my baby forever “Captain Toad.”

We all have different strengths, talents, and skills. I smile when my boys look in the mirror and say to themselves, “I am handsome. ” If we could all have that confidence.

The world is tough and as they mature they will face situations that will shake their core. Stayed tuned to this page to see how to encourage boys and reflect on powerful quotes that help improve their confidence and mine!

xoxo

If you want a little bit of confidence and spiritual strength these two books are great. I am not affiliated with either they are just two of my favorites. The first was given to me by my dad when I was in law school and feeling particularly low. Both of these books are very powerful reads.
