Ingredients
- 1 can chickpeas, drained and rinsed (Save the aquafaba in separate container- use liquid if you need a less lumpy consistency)
- 2 tablespoons tahini
- 1-2 teaspoon of rice vinegar or apple cider vinegar
- Juice of 1/2 lemon
- 1 stalk celery, finely chopped
- 1/8 sweet vedalia onion, finely chopped
- 1/2 clove (small) garlic, minced or 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
- 2 teaspoons of Mustard (yellow)
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Additional seasonings: Lemon Pepper seasoning/Old Bay seasoning/ Dulse flakes (all sprinkled independently to taste)
In a mixing bowl mash the chickpeas until they have a mushed but chunky texture. Add the rest of the ingredients and stir until well combined.
*You can use a food processor but remember not to blend*
Eat on your favorite wrap/pita or even as a topping to a mixed green salad.
